Science Sight Word Booklets

Sight word booklets are short books used to introduce early readers to must know vocabulary. Many are available as printables so teachers can provide a booklet to each student. 

In addition to helping early readers with sight words, these Science Sight Word Booklets connect early literacy to science concepts, especially those related to developing an ecological understanding of our world and our relationship with it. 

The science concepts follow the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) which have three dimensions: a Disciplinary Core Idea (DCI), a Cross Cutting Concept (CCC); and a Science and Engineering Practice (SEP). To learn more about NGSS visit https://www.nextgenscience.org
